  • Wash and dry all clothing and bedding on high heat, then bag in clean plastic
  • Remove or bag small items like toys, books, and electronics
  • Take down wall hangings and picture frames
  • Remove items that could melt, explode, or be heat-sensitive


What to Remove or Protect


  • Candles, aerosols, and pressurized containers
  • Food, medications, and cosmetics
  • Pets, houseplants, and aquariums
  • Vinyl records and heat-sensitive electronics



What Can Stay


  • Furniture, mattresses, box springs
  • Clothing that has been treated and bagged
  • Items in sealed, heat-safe containers

 

Aftercare


  • Wait for your technician’s go-ahead to return
  • Open windows to help cool down your space
  • Leave bagged items sealed until you’re sure the infestation is gone
